A warm welcome to “Abracadabra: Sunday Spread”—a culinary journey through culture, memory, and manifestation curated by Dr. Jennifer Jones-Morales.

Since 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Jones-Morales has found solace and joy in preparing breakfast and lunch spreads that celebrate global flavors. She hasn’t stopped since. (You can read more about her story in In Touch Magazine.)

Each week, she explores dishes from around the world—Kelewele from Côte d’Ivoire, Jollof Rice from Nigeria, Lomo Saltado from Peru, and Kimchi Fried Rice from Japan. Yet her tables always honor home: callaloo and crab, stewed oxtail, melongene choka, and fried bakes make frequent appearances.

Her presentations go beyond the plate. Each spread is styled with intentional color palettes, matching crockery, and cutlery to create an atmosphere—a Parisian café one week, a Caribbean luncheon the next. Many of the pieces she uses hold sentimental value, purchased on shopping trips with her late mother.

A graduate of the Caribbean Culinary Arts and Hospitality Institute, Dr. Jones-Morales trained under the renowned Chef Brent Sinanan. Every dish reflects her attention to detail, creativity, and love of storytelling through food.

Most Sundays, her husband, Sheldon, joins in—rating the meals and declaring the “star of the show.”

Her dishes are often inspired by people, travel, or simple acts of gratitude. And what makes them truly special? The flowers and herbs she picks straight from her own garden.

Because every Sunday spread is more than a meal—it’s an act of manifestation.

Life Is Good!!!
