A warm welcome to “Abrakadabra: Sunday Spread!”—your gateway to culinary adventures, cultural stories, and elevated tablescapes curated by Dr. Jennifer Jones-Morales.

Since 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Jones-Morales began preparing breakfast and lunch meals with renewed passion—and she has not stopped since. Each week, she draws inspiration from countries she has visited or dreamed of visiting. Her dishes span the globe:

Kelewhele (Côte d’Ivoire)

Jollof Rice (Nigeria)

Lomo Saltado (Peru)

Kimchi Fried Rice (Japan)

And of course, she celebrates local treasures like callaloo and crab, stewed oxtail, melongene choka, and fried bakes.

Her presentation style is unmistakable—colour-coordinated tableware, curated cutlery, and thoughtful design choices that create the vibe of a French bistro, a Peruvian luncheon, or a Caribbean Sunday table. Many of her elegant pieces carry sentimental value, collected on shopping trips with her late mother.

A proud graduate of The Caribbean Culinary Arts and Hospitality Institute, she trained under the esteemed Chef Brent Sinanan.

What defines her weekly spreads is the soulful incorporation of flowers from her garden and herbs from her homegrown patch—an absolute must.

Her dishes are inspired by life events, cooking shows, meaningful memories, and honoring great people. And of course, her husband Sheldon always gives his authentic rating—highlighting the true star of the meal.

All in all, it is a treat!
