Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and to those who mother! 🥰🥰 This has been a tough weekend because yesterday it was a year since mommy's passing. So this is the second Mother's Day without this remarkable woman. Best mom ever! She is resting in peace 🥰❣️In her honour, I made her favourite breakfast, roasted bake and melongene choka. Delicious! I also made some fried bakes in honour of my mother in law. 🥰 Bananas 🍌. Fresh Orange juice and coffee. In mommy' honour, I also walked up to Mt. St. Benedict because she used to make the trek whenever she was going through a difficult time. She was resilient. Also, yesterday we had a very big fire. It was traumatizing but thanks to the firefighters who came in time to contain the fire. My cousin Nicole was an angel in all of this!🙏🏽🙏🏽🥰 In spite of everything, God is great!🙏🏽🙏🏽❣️Thanks to my friend Roger, for gifting me this lovely tablecloth from Ethiopia 🇪🇹. For lunch, I prepared one of mommy's favourite dishes, polenta. Mommy was such a devoted mother-in-law that when Sheldon told her that he loved her polenta, she made polenta and tuna casserole every Sunday for months!❣️❣️ He was grateful 🙏 I also made red kidney beans 🫘 which she liked a lot. I also prepared mashed sweet potato 🥔, roasted broccoli, sautéed salmon, guacamole, slices of cucumber 🥒..Sheldon said the food was finger licking 😋 👌 good! Fruit Punch to drink.
