Christmas Breakfast
Merry Christmas and a bright and Prosperous New Year! Thanks for all of the expressions of love and the food and gifts. We really appreciated them all and plan to use everything that we were gifted 💜 🙏. For breakfast, I made beef ham that was very delicious 😋, I must say. The lettuce was given to me by Gillian, owner of a plant shop. I didn't use the traditional chow chow but instead tried an apple, cinnamon and pineapple nuts jelly which was pretty amazing. The scrambled eggs were rather delicious and Sheldon thought that I had put something extra...love ❣️❣️. Roanne shared some sweet bread that was delightful and I still added some Panatone bread, remembering my first Christmas in California in 1992 with Cousin Audley. Apples 🍎 were gifted by my brother, Nigel, who has given me enough apples to keep the doctor away for 6 months. Lol! I also added some grapes 🍇. Lime juice and hot chocolate with a peppermint candycane stick. I brought the anthuriums in honour of mommy. The cross stitch picture was done by her from 1991 - 1993 when I went to Canada to read for my MBA. What an awesome mom she was! She worked every day on the picture. Christmas Luncheon
What a wonderful Christmas luncheon! One of Sheldon's students, Naveen and his family, gifted us with a beautiful dinner set which we had to use today! It was so pretty on the table. For lunch, I made truffle and porcini mushroom risotto. I was able to find whole truffles in All Italian. How cool! Christmas 🎄 pasta with vegetables and cheese 🧀. Stewed pigeon peas were scrumptious 😋. Fried plantains and roasted brocollini...truly delectable. Roasted turkey breast with plum sauce. The plum sauce was gifted by Liam, another of Sheldon's students who sent many goodies for us this Season. The delicious sorrel was courtesy Roanne. All in all, a mouth watering meal!
